-As Gov Ganduje’s Leadership Becomes A Morale Booster,” Says Ministerial Task ForceDue to real commitment in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in Kano state, as exemplified by the leadership style of governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the (Health) Ministerial Task Force, acknowledges that, Kano becomes the centre for the training of manpower against the disease.
This was disclosed by the Team Lead of the Ministerial Task Force, Dr Nasiru Sani Gwarzo, during a media briefing by the State Task Force, in the presence of the governor, his Deputy, Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, who is also the Chairman of the Task Force, with his Co-Chair, Prof. Abdurrazak Garba Habibu, and the Envoy of the Minister of Health on COVID-19 to Kano, Prof. Abdussalam Nasidi, among others.
The event took place at Africa House, Government House, Kano, when Dr Gwarzo expressed delightfully that, “Let us express further gratitude to the governor, the State Task Force and our frontline health workers over the achievements so far recorded in Kano state. While the state is becoming the Centre of Training for other Northern states,” he said.
COVID-19 Response: “Kano Becomes Northern Centre For Manpower Training,”
Trainings of health workers and others, who are trained in the state at stages and batches, according to him, “…go a long way in providing manpower to other Northern states. We are happy to see that many Northern states are copying from Kano state.”
“Your Excellency, your personal leadership and your participation in leading the response is a morale booster. Not only to us, but to the overall response to the COVID-19. We are therefore congratulating Kano over the number of responses we are getting,” he encouraged.
Evaluating responses seen in the media, for both mainstream and the social media platforms, were another morale booster, “…because of the fact that, more people are now accepting the reality of the disease,” he said.
In his response, governor Ganduje commended the Ministerial Technical Team for the harmonious working relationship between them and the state response team.
Adding that, “Not only because of the harmonious working relationship, but because of making Kano the centre of training against COVID-19 for the Northern states.”
