His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi state, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Kauran Bauchi today recieved in audience, officials of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria led by its Chairman, Ustaz Zikrullah Kunle Hassan.
The Governor who recieved the officials at the Council Chamber, Government House Bauchi, noted with satisfaction, the various reforms introduced by the commission for the welfare of pilgrims.
He said their visit will encourage his administration to do more for the welfare of the state pilgrims thereby ensuring improvement in the hajj affairs.
Governor Bala Mohammed informed the officials that the ongoing construction of new modern hajj camp in the state is part of the determination of his administration to cushion the challenges faced by intending pilgrims in the process.
He therefore directed the Secretary to the State Government to provide office accommodation to the Commission for effective conduct of some of its activities in the state.
The Chairman of the Commission, Ustaz Zikrullah Kunle Hassan said the commission will use its land provided by Governor Bala Mohammed when he was the FCT Minister to establish International Hajj Training Institute.
He identified Bauchi as one of the key stakeholder in the hajj Affairs in the country, appealed to the Governor not to relent in supporting the Commission for better performance.
