Bauchi state Government has received Eighty thousand, five hundred and seventy Astrazenica Covid-,19 vaccines from the National primary health care Development Agency.
State Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela announced this on Wednesday while receiving the vaccines at ATBU teaching hospital Bauchi.
The deputy governor who is the state Chairman Task force on primary Health care noted that, Bauchi state expected to receive 150,000 vaccines which would be in batches
Baba Tela disclosed that, the Frontline health workers, political officers, religious as well as traditional rulers would be vaccinate in first place.
He added that, the vaccines has no any effect as undergone various studies by WHO and other relevant health bodies, hence the on public to accept it with good faith .
Meanwhile he commending the federal government for its concern towards fighting against covid-19 pandemic and promised the state government support in that direction.
Handing over the vaccines the state chairman of primary health care Agency,Dr Rulwanu Muhd said the Health workers would receive training on the exercise inline with NCDC directive and promised to work wholeheartedly to achi the set goals.
